Houston Airport Marriott has completed a property-wide transformation designed to elevate the guest experience and reinforce the flagship brand’s promise of Traveling Brilliantly. Located at George Bush Intercontinental Airport and just minutes from the gates since opening in 1971, the 573-room hotel received a multimillion-dollar renovation that touches every area of the property.
The extensive updates span the exterior and interior, including guestrooms, suites, meeting rooms, lobby, restaurants, public spaces and the fitness center. Arrival and first impressions were improved with a refreshed front entrance and an enhanced registration and lobby experience that streamlines check-in and creates a welcoming atmosphere for business and leisure travelers alike.
Guestroom improvements focus on comfort, convenience and modern design. New custom-designed headboards include integrated task lighting as well as accessible power and USB outlets. Bathrooms were upgraded with contemporary stand-up tile showers, while new furnishings, updated carpeting and fresh wall coverings bring a cohesive, updated look across the property.
Meetings and events received specific attention: all 34 meeting rooms were refreshed with new finishes and furnishings to better serve corporate programs, conferences and social gatherings. Public areas and dining spaces were reimagined to create more functional, attractive settings for guests to relax, dine and connect.
