A beloved family destination is reopening this spring after a multimillion-dollar expansion and renovation. Old Town in Kissimmee, Florida, will celebrate its grand reopening on April 6, 2019. For more than three decades, Old Town has been one of the region’s most recognizable spots for family entertainment, offering themed rides, live music, weekly car cruises and a variety of unique shops. The recent renovation adds 12,000 square feet of retail and dining space and introduces an impressive new 86-foot Ferris wheel, recently transported from Italy.
Friday and Saturday nights at Old Town remain dedicated to classic cars. Each weekend, a car show and cruise features pre-1975 hot rods, street rods and antique automobiles parading down the brick-lined streets. The Saturday Nite Classic Car Show & Cruise is known as one of the nation’s longest-running weekly car shows and cruises, drawing collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Old Town’s attractions offer a mix of thrills and family-friendly entertainment. Mortem Haunted Manor, designed and produced by Pennsylvania’s Extreme Fear Design & Production, is a two-story experience that blends live actors with sophisticated animatronics and detailed set pieces for a hauntingly immersive adventure. For lighter family fare, The Great Magic Hall presents regular magic shows throughout the day, delighting audiences with sleight of hand and theatrical performances.
Younger guests and those young at heart can try their skill at Rootin & Tootin’s Shootin’ Alley, where pop-gun shooting games test accuracy and timing. The Happy Days Family Fun Center houses more than 50 video and skill games, including beloved classics like skee-ball, making it a popular spot for families looking to relax and play together.

The updated complex balances nostalgic charm with refreshed amenities, making it appealing for both longtime visitors and newcomers. Historic brick streets, period-themed storefronts and familiar entertainment combine with new dining options and retail shops to create a well-rounded destination for day and evening outings. Live musical acts and themed events continue to be a central part of the Old Town experience, providing ongoing entertainment throughout the reopening season.
Families visiting Old Town can expect a mix of immersive attractions, classic arcade fun, live performances and the enduring tradition of the weekend car cruises. The park’s blend of new features and restored favorites aims to preserve the character that made Old Town an iconic Florida attraction while offering updated spaces and amenities that enhance the guest experience.
