Hawaiian Airlines will expand its service between Honolulu International Airport and Tokyo Narita Airport by introducing a new nonstop route next summer. Beginning July 22, 2016, the carrier will operate daily nonstop flights between Honolulu and Narita, adding to its existing daily service to Tokyo Haneda Airport.
“We’ve had the pleasure of carrying more than 800,000 visitors between Haneda and Honolulu since the launch of our daily A330 service more than five years ago,” said Mark Dunkerley, president and chief executive officer of Hawaiian Airlines. “With average load factors routinely exceeding 90 percent, it is clear Japanese travelers have chosen Hawaiian as their carrier of choice when visiting our beautiful islands. We are excited to offer even more options for service between Honolulu and the Greater Tokyo region with the launch of a second daily flight from Narita that will offer the authentic Hawaiian hospitality and service that our guests have come to expect of us.”
The additional nonstop flight aims to provide travelers greater flexibility and convenience when planning trips between the Hawaiian Islands and the Greater Tokyo area. By offering both Haneda and Narita departures, Hawaiian Airlines seeks to accommodate a broader range of schedules and connections for visitors and residents traveling to and from Japan.
Adding service to Narita complements the airline’s established presence at Haneda and reflects strong demand from Japanese travelers. High load factors on the existing route indicate steady popularity, and the new Narita nonstop is intended to strengthen connectivity while maintaining the level of service and hospitality associated with Hawaiian Airlines.
