The ultra-luxury small-ship cruise line Seabourn has announced the official names for its two upcoming vessels: Seabourn Encore, set to debut in late 2016, and Seabourn Ovation, scheduled for spring 2018.
These new ships will build on the design and service strengths of Seabourn’s existing trio—Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest—while preserving the brand’s signature spaciousness. With a high space-per-guest ratio, the ships are designed to sustain highly personalized service, with nearly one crew member for every guest on board.
“Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will applaud the current fleet in both vessel design and guest experience,” said Richard Meadows, president of Seabourn. “Both names—Encore and Ovation—honor the success and accomplishments of our existing ships and are fitting choices to celebrate the expansion of our fleet.”
Both new ships will include an additional deck and expanded public areas compared with their predecessors. Each vessel is expected to accommodate 604 guests based on double occupancy, and every suite will feature a private veranda, reinforcing Seabourn’s commitment to refined, intimate cruising.
