Wyndham Grand Opens Six New Hotel Properties Worldwide

Wyndham Grand is the upper-upscale brand of the world’s largest hotel and resort company and continued its growth in 2019.

Under the Wyndham umbrella are more than 9,000 hotels across over 80 countries. In 2019 the brand added new properties in California; Cam Ranh, Vietnam; Mexico City; Kayseri, Turkey; Tbilisi, Georgia; and Crete, Greece. Two of these — the Mexico City and Cam Ranh locations — will be managed directly by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. These six openings expanded a portfolio that already included 39 Wyndham Grand locations.

“Travelers are seeking out new destinations and crossing borders more than ever before; in the last two decades alone the number of international travelers around the world has more than doubled to nearly 1.3 billion,” said Bob Loewen, COO of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

The new Westminster, California property marks Wyndham Grand’s first expansion in the state. With 144 guestrooms, it will be the largest hotel in Westminster.

Wyndham Grand Cam Ranh sits near a 27-hole golf course and offers several restaurants and bars along with upscale accommodations designed for leisure travelers.

The Wyndham Grand Mexico City La Condesa is a 400-room property located in a neighborhood that features more than 1,500 buildings classified for their architectural heritage, placing the hotel amid a culturally rich urban fabric.

Wyndham Grand Kayseri opened in mid-January. The property includes 205 guestrooms, eight meeting rooms, and amenities such as traditional Turkish dining options, a fitness center and a spa.

Wyndham Grand Tbilisi is scheduled to open in the summer in Georgia’s capital and will be operated by McInerney Hospitality International Georgia.

Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay will introduce the brand’s first upper-upscale hotel on the island of Crete, expanding Wyndham Grand’s presence in Europe.
