Set within 12 acres of landscaped gardens in Malmesbury, about an hour and a half west of Oxford, Whatley Manor is a five-star retreat with just 23 individually designed guestrooms. The intimate accommodation features suites with separate sitting and study areas, bathrooms fitted with heated floors and Molton Brown amenities, super king-sized beds handmade in Yorkshire by Harrison Spinks, and thoughtful in-room touches such as freshly baked biscuits.
Dining on the estate includes the Michelin-starred The Dining Room, led by Executive Chef Ricki Weston, and Grey’s, a more relaxed restaurant focused on seasonal British cuisine. Typical highlights from The Dining Room range from delicate scallops with crème fraîche and trout roe to wagyu served with cucumber and consommé. Grey’s menu offers hearty regional dishes such as roast Cornish ling and crispy Middlewhite pork belly, showcasing local produce and thoughtful technique.

The estate is also home to Aquarias Spa, a comprehensive wellbeing destination partnered with Sothys Paris and Gaia. Spa facilities include a flotation hydrotherapy pod, salt scrub showers and a thermal suite, alongside a wide range of professional treatments designed to promote relaxation and recovery.
Whatley Manor reached climate-positive status through a collaboration with It Must be NOW, an organisation that supports tourism businesses in reducing and offsetting emissions. As a climate-positive property, Whatley Manor commits to removing more carbon from the atmosphere than it produces, integrating urgent climate action and ongoing environmental stewardship into its operations.

These recognitions emphasise Whatley Manor’s focus on luxury hospitality combined with sustainability, offering guests a refined experience while actively contributing to a greener future.
