On the shore of West Kauai, Waimea Plantation Cottages has introduced its Premier Cottage Collection, a curated group of four distinctive homes drawn from the resort’s 59 vintage cottages. Situated on 43 oceanfront acres, the cottages range from one to five bedrooms and blend historic charm with comfortable, island-style living.

“Our Premier Cottage Collection features four of our larger homes built between the 1880s and 1930s. Each is unique in floor plan and furnishings, yet each retains the charm of a vintage Hawaii plantation cottage,” said Gregg Enright, general manager of Waimea Plantation Cottages. These homes offer guests an authentic glimpse into Kauai’s past while providing modern comforts for a memorable stay with family or friends.
Each Premier Cottage can accommodate groups of six to ten guests. To encourage extended stays, the collection is available with a minimum five-night booking, and the fifth night is offered at no additional charge.

Details of the Premier Cottage Collection:
- Manager’s House: A two-story, oceanfront residence with five bedrooms and 4.5 baths. The Manager’s House sleeps up to ten guests and includes a formal dining room, a kitchen with a prep area, and an expansive outdoor lanai overlooking the water.
- Kruse Cottage: A Craftsman-style home featuring five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Kruse Cottage accommodates up to ten guests and provides a large dining table and a generous living room—ideal for gatherings and shared meals.
- Jean Burns-Faye Cottage: Formerly owned by a governor of Territorial Hawai’i, this home offers four bedrooms and three baths. Its open-plan living room and lanai present unobstructed ocean views, and the cottage comfortably sleeps up to eight guests.
- Bev Johnston’s Hale: Located toward the resort’s west side, this cottage has three bedrooms, two baths, and a spacious outdoor lanai. Bev Johnston’s Hale accommodates up to six guests and provides a quieter, tucked-away retreat within the property.
Restored with respect for their historic character, these larger cottages combine period details with updated amenities to meet modern expectations.
