Virgin America Launches New Denver Flights — Routes, Schedules & Fares

Virgin America will expand its San Francisco International Airport offerings with new nonstop service to Denver International Airport beginning March 15, 2016. The carrier plans to operate three daily round-trip flights between the two cities, increasing travel options for both leisure and business passengers.

This Denver route is part of Virgin America’s broader growth plan as the airline takes delivery of 10 new Airbus A320 aircraft through mid-2016. The carrier recently launched service to Honolulu International Airport and will add flights to Kahului Airport on Maui starting Dec. 3, further expanding its West Coast and transpacific network.

David Cush, president and CEO of Virgin America, noted that Denver combines strong leisure appeal with a booming high-tech economy, making it a top-requested destination from the carrier’s Silicon Valley corporate customers. He emphasized the airline’s focus on a premium onboard experience, saying that features like fleetwide WiFi and power outlets at every seat help keep travelers comfortable and productive on routes connecting two major innovation centers in the West.

The additional Denver service reflects Virgin America’s intent to bring increased competition to the market while developing relationships with the City of Denver and the State of Colorado. The new flights will provide more non-stop options for travelers seeking a seamless connection between the Bay Area and the Mile High City.
