United Airlines Upgrades Lounge Beverage Menu with Premium Picks

United Airlines has expanded the premium beverage offerings in its U.S.-based United Club lounges, providing travelers with a broader selection of imported beers, wines and spirits.

The refreshed beer menu now includes up to 27 imported, regional and craft options available for purchase, alongside complimentary domestic beer. Selections featured across participating clubs include Anchor Steam, Asahi, Blue Moon, Blue Point, Brooklyn Lager, Corona, Fat Tire, Florida IPA, Goose Island, Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold, Guinness, Heineken, Hurricane Reef Caribbean Pilsner, Inversion IPA, Karl Strauss, Leinenkugel, Longboard, Maritime, Pyramid, San Tan, Shiner, Sierra Nevada, Speakeasy IPA, Saint Arnold and Yuengling. This broader range allows guests to choose familiar favorites or try local and specialty brews before their flights.

United has also broadened its wine and spirits list at U.S.-based United Club locations. The wine selection includes Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc and Donna Paula Malbec, along with Veuve Clicquot Champagne. Spirit additions include Ketel One vodka, Stolichnaya vodka, Hendrick’s gin, 10 Cane rum and Hennessy XO cognac. These additions aim to give members and guests more premium options for pairing with light bites or enjoying as a pre-departure refreshment.

For a limited time through the end of 2013, several United Club locations at major hubs — including Chicago O’Hare, New York/Newark, Los Angeles, Houston and Washington Dulles — offered members a complimentary guided tasting of Glenfiddich single malt whisky. Participating lounges featured a dedicated, custom-built tasting bar where travelers could sample a dram and learn about the whisky from knowledgeable staff, creating a focused, relaxed space to enjoy and discover Scotch before boarding.

The updated beverage program reflects United’s effort to enhance the lounge experience by combining complimentary basics with a wider array of premium, purchasable choices. By expanding regional and imported beer options and adding notable wines and spirits, United Club members and guests can enjoy greater variety and higher-end selections while waiting for their flights.
