TSA PreCheck Pop-Up Enrollment at Live Concerts: What to Know

IdentoGO, the official provider for TSA PreCheck enrollment, hosted a pop-up enrollment center for concertgoers at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, N.J., on Saturday, Sept. 17.

These pop-up centers make it simpler and more convenient for travelers to sign up for TSA PreCheck. To enroll on site, attendees needed to present a government-issued photo ID plus proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a passport or birth certificate, and complete a brief fingerprinting process that takes about 10 minutes. Once approved, travelers receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN), which grants access to TSA PreCheck expedited airport security lanes for five years — the program averages a cost equivalent to about $17 per year.

Concertgoers could either walk up to the enrollment location or schedule an appointment in advance. Attendees who were already enrolled in TSA PreCheck were able to use the Fast Pass by IdentoGO entrance by showing their KTN, allowing them to avoid the main public entry line. Even with PreCheck status, individuals still had to pass the venue’s standard security screening before entering the concert.

Since its launch, TSA PreCheck has enrolled more than 3 million travelers, helping reduce some of the stress and time spent in airport security procedures.
