The Beaumont Mayfair Reopens After Major Renovation in London

Situated in London’s Mayfair neighborhood and overlooking Brown Hart Gardens, The Beaumont Mayfair reopened after a multimillion-pound renovation timed to coincide with its 10th anniversary.

Housed in a distinguished 1920s building, the hotel’s celebrated Art Deco interiors were refreshed under the direction of the late French architect and designer Thierry Despont. In partnership with Zuleika Gallery, the property curated a collection of more than 600 works by American, British and European artists from the 20th and 21st centuries, including paintings, prints and ceramics. A highlight of the installation is ROOM, a three-story sculpture by Anthony Gormley.

The Beaumont now offers 101 guestrooms and suites after the refurbishment, which added 29 new rooms and upgraded the original 72. Each room is individually styled with original prints, books and paintings, creating a distinct character for every space. Public areas including the lobby, bar and restaurant were also redesigned to align with the hotel’s renewed Art Deco aesthetic.

The hotel’s Art Deco Hammam and Spa takes inspiration from traditional Turkish baths, the Royal Automobile Club in London and the original New York YMCA. Laid out in black-and-white marble mosaics, the spa features a hammam table, sauna, steam room, four treatment rooms and a calm relaxation area designed for restorative experiences.

In September the hotel will introduce Rosi, a new flagship restaurant focusing on British comfort food with a seasonal menu that highlights local ingredients and classic flavors refreshed for contemporary dining.
