Southwest Adds New Nonstop Routes to Major U.S. Cities

Beginning in late summer, Southwest Airlines will introduce several new non-stop routes within the continental United States, giving frequent flyers more direct options between key cities.

Starting Aug. 7, Southwest will add three weekend-only roundtrips between Atlanta (ATL) and Nashville (BNA), entering direct competition with Delta on that market.

On Oct. 3, Southwest will launch additional weekday non-stop service from its Houston (HOU) hub to Columbus, Ohio (CMH), and Louisville, Kentucky (SDF). The airline will also begin a daily non-stop route between Denver (DEN) and Memphis (MEM). These additions create three new weekday non-stop options that help expand connectivity across the network.

Beginning Oct. 7, Sunday travelers will gain two more non-stop choices: Oklahoma City (OKC) to Nashville (BNA) and Denver (DEN) to El Paso (ELP).

Beyond new markets, Southwest will increase frequency on several Phoenix (PHX) routes by adding one additional weekday flight to each of five daily schedules, improving seat availability and flexibility for business and leisure travelers alike.

These route and frequency enhancements are designed to better serve customer demand, strengthen Southwest’s presence in competitive markets, and offer more convenient, direct travel options across the airline’s domestic network.
