SkyTeam Launches New Exclusive Lounge at Hong Kong Airport (HKG)

SkyTeam opened a new branded lounge at Hong Kong International Airport on Oct. 27. This is the alliance’s fourth SkyTeam-branded lounge worldwide and the first in the Greater China region. The lounge is available to first- and business-class passengers as well as Elite Plus members traveling on the SkyTeam carriers that serve the airport, and it emphasizes passenger wellbeing and comfort.

Occupying approximately 1,000 square meters, the lounge seats up to 230 guests and features a variety of premium amenities. A dedicated yoga room gives travelers space to stretch and relax before departure. The dining options include a noodle bar with cooked-to-order items, complemented by a hot and cold international buffet and a bar selection. A signature Living Wall—home to more than 50 plant species—adds a botanical touch and is a focal design element shared across SkyTeam lounges globally.

For business travelers and those needing connectivity, the lounge provides workstations, multiple charging points and complimentary Wi-Fi. Shower facilities are available for refreshing between flights. Together, these services aim to create a balanced environment that supports both productivity and relaxation.

Located in Terminal 1, the lounge operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. It joins SkyTeam-branded spaces at London Heathrow, Istanbul Atatürk and Sydney International Airport. Hong Kong International is served by 12 SkyTeam member airlines: Aeroflot, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines and Xiamen Airlines. Collectively, those carriers provide more than 183,000 weekly seats from the airport.

SkyTeam is celebrating 15 years as an alliance. Its 20 member airlines operate flights to over 1,050 destinations across 177 countries, connecting passengers through major hubs around the world.
