Sheraton Elevates Two U.S. Hotels to New Sheraton Grand Tier

Two landmark properties—Sheraton Phoenix Downtown and Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers—have been elevated to the Sheraton Grand tier within Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.

As part of the Sheraton 2020 initiative to strengthen Sheraton’s position as a preferred global hotel brand, Sheraton Grand recognizes exceptional hotels and resorts distinguished by desirable locations, thoughtful design and consistently excellent guest service and experiences.

The inclusion of Sheraton Grand Phoenix and Sheraton Grand Chicago marks the official introduction of Sheraton Grand in North America and continues the tier’s expansion, which already includes select properties across Asia Pacific, Europe and South America.

“Sheraton Grand celebrates the highest-quality hotels within the Sheraton portfolio and reinforces the brand’s position as a leader and trusted voice in global travel,” said Dave Marr, global brand leader for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. “We are proud to welcome Sheraton Grand Phoenix and Sheraton Grand Chicago to this premier tier and look forward to adding more outstanding properties as we pursue our goal of expanding the Sheraton Grand portfolio.”

Sheraton Grand Phoenix sits in the heart of downtown Phoenix and rises 31 floors. The hotel offers a variety of on-site dining options, extensive indoor and outdoor meeting and event facilities—totaling roughly 112,000 square feet—and a dynamic fitness center that overlooks an outdoor lap pool with sweeping views of downtown.

Located on the Chicago River, Sheraton Grand Chicago features 1,218 guestrooms and suites with river, lake or skyline views. The hotel includes five distinctive restaurants and bars, a modern fitness center with pool and sauna, and Chicago’s largest hotel ballroom, spanning approximately 40,000 square feet.

The Sheraton Grand designation highlights properties that deliver elevated design, service and amenities, helping guests find memorable stays in premier destinations worldwide.
