Shangri-La Resort Opens in Bodrum, Türkiye — Arriving 2029

Shangri-La Group has signed an agreement with United Bodrum Turizm A.Ş. to manage a new luxury resort in Bodrum, Türkiye. This marks the brand’s second property in the country and expands its presence across key Mediterranean destinations.

Shangri-La Bodrum will be located on the northwest end of the Bodrum peninsula in the Yalıkavak enclave, just 10 minutes from Yalıkavak Marina. Neighboring The One Bodrum development, the resort will offer 70 guestrooms and 10 private villas, a private beach, and sweeping views of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding coastline.

The resort is scheduled to open in the first half of 2029. It follows Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul, which opened in 2013 in the historic city and helped establish the brand’s reputation in Türkiye.

“Bodrum’s spectacular natural setting, international appeal, and rising recognition as a global luxury hub make it an exceptional addition to our portfolio,” said Chee Wui Chua, executive director and CFO of Shangri-La Group. “We are delighted to bring Shangri-La’s timeless hospitality and contemporary sophistication to this remarkable corner of the world.”

Beyond Bodrum, Shangri-La is planning additional growth in Europe and the Middle East over the coming years. The company aims to bring its signature Asian hospitality and refined design to more destinations, strengthening its footprint across key international markets.
