New Sheraton Hotel Opens in Phoenix’s East Valley — What to Know

As part of Sheraton’s strategic $8 billion expansion, the Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West opened this month in the East Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. The new property features 180 guestrooms, generous meeting and event facilities, and the brand’s signature services and amenities.

Located about 15 minutes from downtown Phoenix and roughly eight miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, the hotel provides convenient access to Scottsdale, Tempe and downtown Phoenix. Complimentary shuttle service is available for guests. The hotel sits adjacent to Sloan Park, the Chicago Cubs’ spring training facility, and is only minutes from shopping, dining and entertainment at the Mesa Riverview complex.

“We are excited to welcome travelers to our hotel, located in the heart of the East Valley,” said Kevin Thorpe, general manager of the Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West. “This is the first property in Mesa built to deliver a four‑star, resort‑style experience and a strong addition to Starwood’s portfolio in the Phoenix area.”

The hotel offers 34,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, suitable for conferences, banquets and social gatherings. Recreational amenities include a fitness center, a spa with five treatment rooms, two swimming pools, two hot tubs and a cool dip pool. A poolside bar and grill serves an array of domestic and local craft beers on tap, while on‑site dining covers an upscale steakhouse, casual sports‑bar style dining and a full‑service Starbucks.

With its convenient location, comprehensive amenities and extensive event space, Sheraton Mesa Hotel at Wrigleyville West aims to serve both leisure travelers and business guests seeking a full‑service, resort‑style stay in the East Valley of Phoenix.
