Royal Air Maroc Adds Direct Manchester to Casablanca Flights

Royal Air Maroc has announced a new non-stop service between Manchester (MAN) and Casablanca (CMN). The Moroccan carrier will operate flights three times a week — Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday — beginning March 28.

Manchester will become the third U.K. airport served by Royal Air Maroc on the Casablanca route, with flights operated on a two-class Boeing 737-800. The service will provide convenient onward connections from Manchester to 33 destinations across Africa, including Lagos (LOS), Accra (ACC) and Nairobi (NBO), as well as links to Brazil and daily connections to Moroccan cities such as Marrakech (RAK) and Agadir (AGA).

“Being the only airport outside of London with this carrier firmly reinforces our position as the U.K.’s global gateway for the North,” said Stephen Turner, commercial director at Manchester Airport. He noted the airport’s 22 million-strong catchment area, stretching from Scotland to the Midlands, east to Yorkshire and west to Wales and Merseyside, and said the new route will be welcomed by both business and leisure travelers.

The flight time is approximately three hours and 20 minutes and the aircraft will offer both business and economy cabins to suit a range of travelers.

“We are thrilled to be providing yet another invaluable link from the U.K. to Africa and look forward to welcoming passengers on board our service from March 28,” said Achraf El Hassani, Royal Air Maroc’s general manager for the U.K. and Ireland.
