Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel reopened earlier this month after a comprehensive renovation designed to meet the needs of contemporary luxury travelers while honoring Omani culture and heritage.
The redesigned guestrooms showcase local influences through rich furnishings, high-quality materials, neutral metallic accents and carefully selected contemporary artwork. Families will find an enhanced Ritz Kids program and the new Family Aqua Land, offering activities and water play suitable for all ages. Dining options have been expanded with Al Kiran Kitchen, which offers scenic views of the Gulf of Oman, and China Mood, serving authentic Chinese cuisine alongside a tea sommelier. Meeting and event venues at the hotel were also refreshed to better serve business and social gatherings.
“Oman continues to welcome record numbers of international visitors thanks to our commitment to offering world-class experiences for the modern global traveler that honor and celebrate our beautiful natural surroundings, rich culture and history,” said H.E. Maitha bint Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary, the Ministry of Tourism, Oman. “The renovation of Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel fully supports this vision and we are confident that the hotel will continue to contribute to the Sultanate’s thriving tourism industry.”
In the Caribbean, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has reopened in Puerto Rico following renovations completed after last year’s hurricane season. More than 100 guestrooms and suites have been refreshed with designs that reflect the island’s natural beauty. Resort restaurants updated their menus, and the award-winning spa introduced new treatments to enhance guest well-being.
The property’s historic five-bedroom villa remains under renovation and is scheduled to reopen in December.
“Dorado Beach exemplifies the unique qualities of the Reserve brand, which is distinguished for its collection of locally inspired properties that offer heartfelt care and transformative experiences in the most incredible corners of the world,” said Lisa Holladay, global brand leader, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve. “With this reopening, the world’s most discerning travelers can once again immerse themselves in the local culture, enjoy unique experiences set apart by human connection and discover this rare estate anew while also supporting the revitalization of Puerto Rico.”
Through February, the resort is donating $10 per booked room to the Flamboyan Arts Fund, the nonprofit co-founded by Lin-Manuel Miranda that supports artistic projects across Puerto Rico.
