Ritz-Carlton Maldives Fari Islands Relaunches Masters of Crafts 2026

The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has revealed the lineup for this year’s Masters of Crafts program. This year-long celebration brings together specialists from culinary arts, mixology, floral design, astronomy, wellness, surfing and fermentation for month-long and short-term residencies. February

From Feb. 26–28, the resort welcomes chef Maurizio Bufi and mixologist Rama Redzepi from Grand Hotel Fasano in Italy. Guests can expect collaborative dinners and curated cocktail experiences that highlight contemporary Italian flavors and inventive mixology techniques.

March

Mark the arrival of spring March 21–24 with award-winning floral designer Harijanto Setiwan. His residency includes floral workshops, immersive installations and opportunities to learn seasonal design techniques suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts.

April

Stargazers will appreciate astronomer and author Tom Kerss on property April 5–12, offering stargazing sessions and talks about observational astronomy. Later in April, from April 23–26, mindset mentor Harriet Mandak leads a three-night couples’ retreat focused on connection, communication and personal growth.

June

From June 6–8, three acclaimed Asian bars—The St. Regis Bar, Punch Room Tokyo and Bar Sathorn—stage a three-night takeover, presenting signature cocktails and collaborative bar experiences that showcase modern Asian mixology.

July

Big wave surfer Nic von Rupp returns in July to offer surf coaching for adults and children (ages 6 and up). Sessions are tailored to all skill levels, from beginners learning fundamentals to experienced surfers refining technique and safety.

October

Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet from the three-Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in London joins the program Oct. 26–31. He will present refined tasting menus and culinary demonstrations that reflect his signature approach to modern haute cuisine.

November

Fermentation specialist Alexix Goertz visits Nov. 22–30 to lead a five-day probiotic program. The residency includes workshops, tastings and hands-on sessions exploring fermentation techniques and their culinary and health benefits.

December

In early December, award-winning bar Moebius brings its inventive cocktails to the Maldives Dec. 4–5. On Dec. 5, author Virginia Gambardella hosts an oceanfront mindfulness session focused on presence and wellbeing, offering guests a chance to end the year with calm and reflection.
