Renaissance Fashion Debuts in Indonesia: Collection, Stores & Dates

Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa opened this month in Indonesia as the first Renaissance hotel in the country. Situated on the Bukit Peninsula, it is the southernmost Marriott property on the island, with dramatic views of the rocky coastline that inspired much of the resort’s design. The roofline references leatherback turtles, a nod to local marine life and coastal character.

The resort offers 207 guestrooms and suites, each with a private balcony and luxurious bathrooms featuring freestanding tubs. Rooms look out over either the Indian Ocean or the Bukit landscape, providing guests with sweeping seascapes or dramatic cliffside vistas.

“The spectacular new Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa sets the stage for discovering the beautiful island of Bali,” said George Fleck, vice president of global marketing and management, Renaissance Hotels. The hotel expands the brand’s global portfolio and brings a design-forward, discovery-led approach to this part of the island.

Mike Fulkerson, vice president of brand and marketing for Marriott International Asia Pacific, added that the resort offers immersive, locally informed experiences. Instead of simply pointing visitors toward familiar beaches, the hotel’s Navigator team recommends culturally rich outings, such as visiting Uluwatu Temple at sunset to watch the traditional fire dance performance that retells the Hindu legend of Prince Rama. These curated moments are intended to create memorable, shareable stories for guests.

Dining at the resort highlights both local flavors and interactive culinary experiences. Clay Craft Restaurant is an all-day venue serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and incorporates an interactive pottery school where guests can learn and create. Double Ikat Restaurant focuses on authentic Indonesian cuisine and includes an on-site cooking studio for hands-on lessons. R Bar, located in the lobby, offers panoramic views, live music, canapés and a relaxed social atmosphere.

Public amenities are designed to showcase the site’s ocean setting and appeal to families and wellness-minded travelers. The resort features a main infinity pool with ocean views, a saltwater pool and a children’s pool. The hotel spa includes 11 treatment rooms for personalized therapies, and a fitness center opens onto views across the Bali landscape.

Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa aims to blend contemporary design, local inspiration and experiential programming to encourage exploration of the region. With its combination of oceanfront vantage points, culturally rooted dining and activity offerings, and facilities for relaxation and fitness, the resort positions itself as a modern base for discovering Bali’s southernmost cliffs, temples and coastline.
