A beloved Warsaw landmark has reopened after first welcoming guests in 1857, now restored as a luxury hotel for visitors to Poland’s vibrant capital. Located on the Royal Route beside the Presidential Palace in Old Town, the newly renovated Raffles Europejski Warsaw celebrates Polish heritage, history and craftsmanship.
The hotel offers 106 spacious suites—the largest in the city—each thoughtfully designed with Polish art by Anda Rottenberg and Barbara Piwowarska. Interiors combine rich, dark wood floors, brass accents, bespoke furnishings and marble bathrooms to create an elegant yet warm atmosphere.
Dining at the property highlights Poland’s culinary traditions. The main restaurant opens onto a terrace overlooking Piłsudski Square, providing an inviting setting for seasonal and regionally inspired cuisine. A comfortable bar and cigar lounge offer relaxed spaces for after-dinner drinks, while an on-site patisserie serves classic Polish cakes and pastries throughout the day. Additional guest amenities include an indoor pool and a spa with six treatment rooms.
The building itself carries a storied past: it was once the venue for grand balls and gatherings of notable Polish writers, artists and thinkers, including Józef Chełmoński and Stanisław Witkiewicz. The restoration preserves many historic details while introducing modern comforts and services.
Chris Cahill, CEO of AccorHotels Luxury Brands, said the property “will offer visitors bespoke luxury and beautiful art-filled interiors, building on the past and preserving for the future as it opens for its next exciting chapter in the very heart of Warsaw.”
Raffles Europejski Warsaw joins the Raffles collection of distinguished addresses around the world, a portfolio that includes Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris; Raffles Hotel Singapore; Raffles Istanbul; and Raffles Dubai. The brand is also expanding its presence with upcoming projects in other major cities.
The reopening of Raffles Europejski Warsaw marks a return of a historic institution to Warsaw’s cultural and hospitality scene, offering travelers a blend of refined service, local art and a strong sense of place.
