Carlson Rezidor is expanding its footprint in Africa with the introduction of an upscale Radisson Blu hotel in Chad, marking the group’s entry into a new country within its portfolio. Scheduled to open in the second quarter in the capital, N’Djamena, the Radisson Blu Hotel N’Djamena will offer 175 well-appointed guestrooms and suites with views of the Chari River.
“We are delighted to arrive in Chad. Africa is our most important development market – we are committed to an asset-light, profitable and sustainable growth on this powerful continent and look forward to growing further together with strong regional partners,” said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of Rezidor. The company’s African presence already spans 24 countries and includes the largest pipeline of hotels and rooms currently under development on the continent.
Situated just outside N’Djamena’s city center and close to embassies and key commercial districts, the Radisson Blu Hotel N’Djamena has been designed to serve both business and leisure travelers. The property will feature a spacious lobby bar, two restaurants showcasing a variety of cuisines, and approximately 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space suitable for conferences, banquets and social functions.
Meeting facilities are extensive and versatile, with three amphitheaters and a large assembly hall capable of accommodating sizeable gatherings. For recreation and wellness, the hotel will offer a health club, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. Ample parking will be provided to support both guests and event attendees.
The addition of Radisson Blu Hotel N’Djamena reflects Carlson Rezidor’s strategic focus on sustainable, profitable growth across Africa, leveraging partnerships to bring internationally recognized hospitality standards to emerging markets. By combining contemporary amenities with convenient access to diplomatic and commercial centers, the hotel aims to meet the needs of international visitors, business travelers and local event organizers alike.
This launch not only broadens the group’s geographic reach but also reinforces its commitment to expanding quality accommodation and meeting facilities in regions with growing demand for reliable, upscale hospitality options.
