Pollini at Ladbroke Hall: Elevated Italian Dining in London

Pollini at Ladbroke Hall shares this West London cultural hub with live music, contemporary art, dance and refined dining. The Hall was founded by Loïc Le Gaillard and Julien Lombrail, the visionary duo behind the Carpenters Workshop Gallery, which contributes the venue’s global contemporary art programming.

Spanning 43,000 square feet, the reimagined Edwardian landmark has become a focal point for Notting Hill’s renewed creative energy. Its dynamic programing welcomes both the local community and international art patrons, positioning Ladbroke Hall as a lively destination for culture and cuisine.

At the heart of Ladbroke Hall is Chef Emanuele Pollini, who leads one of London’s most compelling new Italian restaurants. Named Best Italian Chef by Gambero Rosso in 2020, Chef Pollini has fashioned the restaurant as an elevated osteria interpreted through a contemporary lens. Inspired by the Emilia-Romagna region, the seasonal menu highlights pure flavors, thoughtful presentation and the convivial spirit of shared dining.

“It is altogether a new chapter at Pollini,” said Chef Pollini. “Our commitment to seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques remains, but we have refreshed the palate with a lighter, high-class osteria approach. We re-envisioned the menu to reflect the enlivened interior and to complement the art programming throughout Ladbroke Hall.”

Launching the winter menu, Pollini features warm seasonal flavors such as aged squash and ginger, black truffle and fresh aubergine. The menu also includes heartier specials like langoustine pasta and polletto alla cacciatora, offering both comfort and refinement across dishes.

Housed in the striking former showroom of the Clemence-Talbot automobile factory, built in 1903, Pollini’s interior was designed by Milano-based Vincenzo De Cotiis Architects, known for sculptural materiality that bridges modern and historic forms. The black-and-white interiors create a bold, timeless dialogue with the building’s Beaux-Arts architecture, enhanced by site-specific works from artists associated with Ladbroke Hall. The space has attracted numerous London artists, designers and culinary figures who see Ladbroke Hall as where art, design and gastronomy intersect most inspiringly.

“Since opening Pollini and Ladbroke Hall two years ago, the journey has been nothing short of transformational,” said Le Gaillard. “We have created a home where gastronomy, art and culture live in true dialogue.”

Bringing together culinary and artistic excellence, Ladbroke Hall reflects London’s evolving cultural landscape and offers a rewarding destination for residents and international visitors alike. Located on Barlby Road in Notting Hill, the venue sits close to neighborhood highlights such as Portobello Road Market, the Museum of Brands and Wormwood Scrubs, one of the area’s largest green spaces.
