For a limited time, Munich Airport is offering a convenient way to squeeze a fitness break into your travel plans. In partnership with the BMW Open ahead of the ATP tournament, the airport has installed two tennis courts in the Munich Airport Center Forum and is inviting passengers, visitors and airport staff to step onto the court. The courts are open April 1–20 and accommodate all skill levels.
Beginner-friendly sessions are available, with experienced instructors on hand to guide newcomers through basic technique and rally practice. There is also a day camp designed for children ages 5–16, giving young players structured lessons and supervised play while families travel.
During the activation, passengers may have the chance to see professional players stop by. Notable names scheduled to visit include Tommy Haas and Alexander Zverev, offering fans an opportunity to watch top-level players or even meet them in person.
The pop-up tennis courts provide a practical way to stay active between flights, enjoy a recreational break or introduce children to the sport in a safe, supportive environment. Courts, coaching and family programs are designed to fit around travel schedules, making it easy to drop in for a quick session before departure or after arrival.
Munich Airport’s initiative reflects a growing trend of delivering leisure and wellness experiences in travel hubs, turning waiting time into a productive, healthy interlude. Whether you’re a seasoned player, a curious beginner or a parent looking for a fun, supervised activity for your child, the temporary courts at the Munich Airport Center Forum offer a flexible option for keeping active while on the move.
