Center City’s Restaurant Week has become a reliable way for diners to sample high-quality restaurants at approachable prices. Now held twice annually, the event runs 13 days and features special prix-fixe menus—typically $35 for dinner and $20 for lunch—making it a great time to explore the city’s dining scene. In 2019, Center City Restaurant Week takes place Jan. 13–25.

Each winter, Philadelphia Magazine’s editors compile a list of the city’s 50 best restaurants, and that list is celebrated at Philly Cooks. This event showcases top local chefs and mixologists alongside live music and entertainment, giving attendees a chance to taste standout dishes and cocktails in one lively setting. Beer enthusiasts should mark their calendars for Big Philly Beerfest, a large-scale craft beer event that brings together more than 125 breweries pouring a wide variety of beers.
