Norwegian Adds New Winter Flights to Caribbean Islands

This winter, Norwegian Airlines will expand its service to the warm Caribbean for travelers looking to escape cold, snowy climates. Building on strong demand for its winter routes between the United States and the French Caribbean, the airline is adding flights that link Pointe-à-Pître International Airport in Guadeloupe with Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and New York (JFK).

Beginning Dec. 17, Norwegian will operate twice-weekly flights between Fort Lauderdale and Guadeloupe, and once-weekly flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Guadeloupe. In addition, the carrier will resume its winter schedules in November for routes from Boston (BOS), Baltimore (BWI) and New York to both Guadeloupe and Martinique (FDF), starting earlier in the season than in previous years.

One-way fares will start at $79, with round-trip prices moderately higher. With competition from Air France on some of the same corridors, travelers can expect more choice in departure dates and schedules when planning trips from the United States to the Caribbean.
