Laurie Burr, complex general manager of The Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara and Avani Victoria Falls Resort, said the new suites are intended to immerse guests in an experience that reflects the property’s elegance and heritage. The redesign prioritizes comfort, local influence and a sense of place tied to the dramatic landscapes of the Zambezi River and surrounding parklands.

Each Livingstone Junior Suite offers 560 square feet of thoughtfully arranged space. High, lofted ceilings and large doors invite abundant natural light, while the interiors feature refined, nature-inspired textures and colors such as green chenille and botanical prints. These design choices echo the hotel’s well-maintained gardens, where giraffe and zebra are often visible, creating a seamless connection between the suite interiors and the African outdoors.

Traditional craftsmanship is visible in the suites’ signature four-poster beds, dressed in crisp white linens to promote restful sleep, while a freestanding luxurious bath positioned in the center of the room provides both a focal point and a spa-like experience. Thoughtful furnishings, layered textiles and natural tones create an inviting atmosphere suitable for both relaxation and entertaining.

Situated inside Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, the hotel gives guests direct access to the natural wonder of Victoria Falls and the park’s savannah environment. Visitors can enjoy proximity to the falls and on-site views of river and wildlife, offering an immersive stay where the hotel’s landscaped grounds meet the wild beauty of the region.

The Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara forms part of the broader Anantara group, which operates more than 45 hotels and resorts worldwide. The brand’s global portfolio spans destinations across Asia, the Middle East and Europe, maintaining a focus on locally inspired design, thoughtful hospitality and destination-led guest experiences.

With these new Livingstone Junior Suites, the hotel reinforces its commitment to refined accommodation that celebrates local culture, natural surroundings and contemporary amenities, giving travelers an elegant base from which to explore one of Africa’s most iconic landscapes.
