Luxury hospitality brand Few & Far will debut a new eco-lodge next year, bringing a reimagined safari experience to South Africa. Few & Far Luvhondo is slated to open in Limpopo, nestled within the dramatic cliffs of the Soutpansberg Mountains, part of UNESCO’s Vhembe Biosphere Reserve — one of the planet’s most biologically diverse regions.

The lodge will feature just six cliffside suites, each designed for privacy and comfort. Every suite includes a king bed, a private hot tub or plunge pool, an expansive deck perched on the cliff edge, air conditioning, an outdoor shower and an inclusive minibar. The compact number of suites ensures an intimate, low-impact stay that highlights the surrounding wilderness.
Guests can expect a blend of rugged adventure and refined comfort. The property’s design is inspired by local ecology, with a solar-powered aerial experience modeled after weaver bird nests. A state-of-the-art cable car system will traverse the landscape, offering a 40-kilometer game-viewing route above the treetops for a unique safari perspective.

Wellness and cuisine are central to the Luvhondo experience. The lodge will offer a full range of wellness treatments and programs designed to restore and relax. Culinary offerings emphasize local produce and sustainability, with a farm-to-table approach aimed at fine dining in a wild setting. Guests can enjoy multicourse bush dinners paired with South African wines, cookout breakfasts, traditional Boma Braai evenings, guided foraging excursions and other immersive food experiences.
Few & Far was founded by Sarah and Jacob Dusek, the entrepreneurs behind the U.S. glamping brand Under Canvas. In addition to creating exceptional guest experiences, the brand has a strong conservation focus: Few & Far Luvhondo plans to sequester over 100,000 tons of carbon annually by planting and rewilding the mountain landscape. This regenerative approach aims to protect biodiversity while restoring ecosystems.
The Soutpansberg region is rich in natural and cultural heritage, offering abundant wildlife-viewing opportunities and scenic vistas. The lodge’s location in Limpopo places it roughly four hours from Johannesburg, making it accessible for travelers seeking an elevated, eco-conscious safari within reach of South Africa’s major city.
