Below is a selection of highlights taking place during the month.

Throughout April, the Inspiration Station will be on display at the Napa Valley Wine Train station, showcasing the work of noted winemaker Heidi Barrett. On April 4, artist Gordon Huether will lead a guided tour of his 15,000-square-foot studio followed by a hands-on art session. St. Supery wines will be served alongside artisan cheeses during that event.

From April 6–10, Robert Mondavi Winery will offer daily tours at 11 a.m. of its permanent collection of sculptures by Beniamino Bufano. On April 8, the Napa Valley Museum will host appraisers from the Bonhams international auction house, who will provide verbal market valuations for fine wine, art, furniture, decorative arts, books and manuscripts, Asian art and jewelry.

On April 11, a preview tour of the Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens will display one-of-a-kind art and give visitors a first look at this new attraction. Yountville’s art walk and wine tasting will feature appearances by selected artists on April 10 and April 11, offering a chance to meet creators and sample wines. From April 13–19, HALL Wines will present Wine & Art Exploration, a guided look at the winery’s contemporary art collection paired with tastings.

The culinary arts take center stage on April 18 at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone’s Appellation St. Helena bASH. This annual event pairs dishes prepared by CIA students and St. Helena chefs with wines from the region for an immersive food-and-wine experience.

Art enthusiasts can also take a behind-the-scenes tour of internationally recognized artist Carlo Marchiori’s Villa Ca’Toga, which includes trompe l’oeil frescoes, recreated Roman ruins and 18th-century follies, offering a unique architectural and artistic experience.

Several hotels in the valley will offer special packages and activities during Arts in April. Harvest Inn by Charlie Palmer, for example, will feature a Paint ‘n Sip premium package that includes easels, brushes and paints for guests, available at $350 per night.

Arts in April brings together visual artists, culinary talent, wineries and cultural institutions across Napa Valley, making it an ideal time to explore the region’s creative scene, enjoy curated tastings and participate in hands-on workshops and tours throughout the month.
