Marriott Marquis Washington D.C. Offers Special Citi Open Rates

Celebrating its partnership with the 2015 Citi Open tennis tournament, Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. is offering a special rate for guests attending the event (Aug. 1–9).

The largest hotel in the nation’s capital is the official headquarters hotel for the tournament. With 1,175 rooms and a convenient location near public transit, the property provides easy access to the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center, making it a central hub for athletes and tennis fans alike.

“We are thrilled to be selected as the official host hotel for the 2015 Citi Open,” said Dan Nadeau, general manager of Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. “Since opening in May 2014, our hotel has worked to support the city’s tourism and events, and we look forward to welcoming athletes and tournament crowds to the Marriott Marquis.”

This year’s Citi Open features a strong, anticipated field, including Andy Murray, Marin Cilic, Kei Nishikori, John Isner and the Bryan Brothers. When players and spectators are not on the court, they can enjoy the hotel’s bi-level fitness center—the largest hotel gym in Washington, D.C.—as well as other on-site amenities.

“Hotel accommodation is one of the most critical elements for player experience — it sets the tone for the tournament,” said Jeff Newman, tournament director. “The Marriott Marquis has the ambience and reputation we’re looking for to give the players the best D.C. experience possible.”
