Marriott Expands in Russia: New Hotels and Growth Plans

The Voronezh Marriott Hotel opened last week in the city of Voronezh, a prominent cultural and scientific center in southern Russia. Located within walking distance of major attractions, the hotel offers 221 well-appointed guestrooms, including executive rooms and a selection of suites designed for both business and leisure travelers.

John Licence, vice president for premium and select brands in Europe at Marriott International, said the opening underscores the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence in Russia. The new property aims to enhance the travel experience through thoughtfully designed accommodations and services while providing a convenient base for guests exploring the city.

Dining options at the hotel cater to a range of tastes. Grill & Grain presents a menu focused on dry-aged beef and fresh seafood, complemented by a curated selection of single malt whiskies and international wines. Olea offers casual Mediterranean fare, emphasizing seasonal ingredients and wood-fired pizzas. Avenue 38 operates as a coffee and pastry bar in the mornings and transitions into a relaxed social space in the evenings, ideal for informal meetings and evening gatherings.

Business and event facilities occupy the eighth floor and provide panoramic views of the Voronezh skyline. The hotel includes nine modular conference rooms suitable for meetings and workshops, plus a grand ballroom that accommodates up to 550 guests, making the venue suitable for conferences, weddings, and large-scale events.

Guest amenities and services are designed to meet contemporary needs, with attention to comfort and convenience. Whether visiting for work or leisure, guests can expect a blend of local character and international hospitality standards, with staff on hand to assist with city recommendations, transportation, and event planning.

Situated close to cultural sites, universities, and business districts, the Voronezh Marriott Hotel positions itself as a central choice for travelers seeking modern accommodations in a city known for its academic institutions and cultural offerings. With multiple dining venues, flexible event spaces, and a range of room types, the hotel aims to serve both short-stay visitors and those attending extended conferences or celebrations.
