Opened in 2020, Banyan Tree Krabi has 72 pool suites and villas and is strengthening its sustainability efforts. The resort’s sustainability program is led by sustainability manager Thepsuda Loyjiw, who manages initiatives for both Banyan Tree Krabi and the group’s sister property, Banyan Tree Samui, located on Thailand’s east coast.

Banyan Tree Samui earned international recognition in 2020 when Thepsuda and her team protected and nurtured nests and eggs of a rare green turtle on the resort’s beach, resulting in the successful hatching and survival of more than 200 hatchlings.

“Ms. Tipwimon will be a valuable addition to our team as we work continuously to reduce carbon footprints across our resorts,” said Thepsuda. “Her priorities will include resource conservation, recycling and upcycling, pollution reduction, waste elimination, and reducing energy consumption.”
