In a new collaboration with Bali-based Java Mountain Coffee, AYANA Hotels is strengthening its commitment to sustainable tourism. Java Mountain Coffee products are now available throughout AYANA Resort and Spa in Bali, bringing ethically sourced Indonesian coffee into the guest experience and reinforcing the resort’s eco-friendly positioning.
Guests can enjoy coffee brewed from beans grown on the slopes of Mount Batu in Munduk, within the Ciwidey mountain range. Java Mountain Coffee emphasizes environmental responsibility: its capsules are biodegradable and compostable, reducing single-use plastic waste associated with traditional coffee pods.

Last year, Java Mountain Coffee established the Java Mountain Women’s Coffee Cooperative, Indonesia’s first all-female coffee farmer cooperative. The cooperative creates jobs in lower-income villages and expands opportunities across coffee-growing communities, supporting women’s livelihoods and local development.
The partnership benefits AYANA Hotels by offering a high-quality, locally sourced product that aligns with the brand’s sustainability goals. For guests it delivers a fresher, more authentic taste of Indonesian coffee while contributing to broader social and environmental initiatives.
Through this collaboration, guests not only enjoy sustainably produced coffee but also help support the Women’s Empowerment Innovation Fund and local economic growth. Java Mountain Coffee, in partnership with United Nations initiatives, aims to empower one million female coffee farmers and to plant three million coffee and shade trees across Bali and Java by 2030—efforts that complement AYANA’s focus on responsible tourism and community impact.
