Laqua Vineyard, set in the charming Tuscan village of Casanova, is the fourth property in the Laqua Resort Collection and the brand’s first in Tuscany. Opened in summer 2022, the venue brings Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo’s culinary vision and warm hospitality to a new region. Its restaurant earned a Michelin star within five months of opening. The estate comprises six suites nestled in rolling hills, offering sweeping outdoor views and interiors crafted by Torino-based Studio Lamatilde.

“We are thrilled and enthusiastic about this new project of the Laqua Resorts Collection,” said Cinzia and Antonino Cannavacciuolo. “It has been only one year since we launched this brand with its new concept of hospitality and it still doesn’t feel real that we are able to bring our love for hospitality and cuisine to Tuscany, in such a unique place. It is our first time outside Piedmont or Campania, but we are sure that such a beloved destination, both nationally and internationally, with its great potential, will be for us a fundamental source of inspiration, from where we can start looking forward to a new and exciting future.”
Positioned between Pisa and Volterra, Laqua Vineyard joins the collection that already includes properties in Meta di Sorrento, Ticciano and Lake Orta. Set within the village of Casanova, the resort maintains the same welcoming ethos and refined atmosphere that define the Laqua Resorts brand.

The property houses Chef Cannavacciuolo’s first Tuscan restaurant, six thoughtfully appointed suites, a wellness area and a private guest pool. The restaurant’s outdoor garden provides al fresco dining in warm months, with a generous wine-tasting table and an open kitchen. Designed to encourage convivial gatherings, the dining area fosters an intimate atmosphere where guests dine together like friends.
The Cannavacciuolo Vineyard Restaurant presents two tasting menus and an à la carte selection. Sample dishes include corzetti with scorpionfish, watercress and lemon; pigeon with rhubarb chutney, green apple and potato salad; and inventive preparations of cod and tripe with varied onion textures. Executive chef Marco Suriano, trained at Relais Villa Crespi and other notable properties, leads the kitchen brigade.
Studio Lamatilde’s interior design for the restaurant draws inspiration from the nearby La Spinetta Winery’s Rhino motif and the golden circular “moon” emblem of the Cannavacciuolo brand. The dining room seats up to 30 guests and, in summer, guests can dine outdoors among corten planters set against Tuscany’s natural landscape.

For larger social celebrations or corporate events, the restaurant can host 60–70 guests. Through a partnership with the nearby Rivetti Family Wine Cellar, even larger gatherings can be arranged in the cellar’s romantic arcaded portico. Event planning and menu customization are handled by a dedicated team from the Cannavacciuolo Vineyard Restaurant, ensuring tailored experiences for each occasion.
Adjacent to the restaurant are six intimate guest suites characterized by minimalist elegance. Each suite has a distinct layout and a name drawn from mythology — Cupid, Aphrodite, Narcissus, Eurydice, Dionysus and Penelope — with interior details that evoke each suite’s love story theme through curated furniture and objects.
Suites are available with one or two bedrooms and include a living area and kitchen. Guests also enjoy exclusive access to a private outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the surrounding vineyards, offering a peaceful spot to relax and admire the Tuscan scenery.
The resort operates seasonally from June through January. The Laqua Vineyard restaurant serves lunch from 12:30 to 14:00 and dinner from 19:30 to 21:30. It is closed on Mondays and does not serve lunch on Tuesdays.
