Luxe public charter jet service JSX recently launched a new route from Burbank to Napa County, connecting Angelenos directly to wine country.
The carrier’s private terminal puts you closer to the heart of Napa than flying into San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento or San Jose and driving for two hours. With a fast turnaround, the service makes a Napa getaway feasible for travelers short on time, enabling a full wine-country experience in 48 hours or less.

The route debuted July 3 and will run through Nov. 17 to serve passengers throughout harvest season. Fares are priced from $239 each way; in one instance the trip cost less than an Uber Black to the airport.
JSX—short for “joyfully simple Xperience”—launched in 2016 with the goal of delivering a private-jet feel at a premium-economy price. Based in Dallas, the carrier operates a fleet of Embraer ERJ family jets and serves multiple destinations, with plans to add ATR 42-600 turboprops later in the year.
The value is simple: no long check-in lines, no lengthy waits and no time-consuming security rituals. Passengers arrive at a private terminal about 20 minutes before departure, pass through JSX’s TSA-approved screening, and step directly onto the plane.
Cabins are bright and modern, offering generous legroom and power outlets in every row. JSX removes middle seats, giving each traveler more elbow room and a more comfortable experience than many traditional regional flights.

Part of the appeal is how discreet the service feels. On a recent flight to Napa, interruptions were minimal: no loud announcements, no repeated instructions to stow belongings, and no fuss over seatbacks or laptops during takeoff. Starlink-powered, high-speed Wi-Fi lets passengers work or stream without interruption from boarding in Burbank to disembarking in Napa.
Direct flights like this one have also boosted interest in lodging in Napa, with a reported year-over-year increase in searches and bookings. Once you arrive, many attractions and hotels are within a short drive. Less than an hour after leaving the private terminal, for example, guests can check in at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Napa Valley, which opened in 2021 and operates its own vineyard.
The Four Seasons property blends modern farmhouse style with expansive grounds, several dining options and on-site winemaking at Elusa Winery, where guests can learn about the production process from vine to bottle. The hotel’s local partnerships further expand luxury options: this summer, it collaborated with Napa Valley Car Club to make Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other high-performance cars available to guests seeking a memorable drive through wine country.
By combining a streamlined airport experience, comfortable cabins and quick access to Napa’s hotels and wineries, JSX’s Burbank–Napa route aims to make short, high-quality wine-country trips far more convenient for Los Angeles travelers.
