Your Business
What innovations or initiatives do you foresee in the industry over the next few years?
The global airport landscape is changing quickly. We have already seen large shifts toward self-service with kiosks and automated check-in solutions. The next wave will focus on location-based services that reach and serve passengers before they arrive, improving planning and convenience. Beyond that, artificial intelligence and robotics will create faster, more seamless and efficient passenger journeys, from operations and baggage handling to personalized customer interactions.
Best career advice you’ve received:
Treat your people well. Success comes when everyone shares a common goal and trusts one another. When teams respect and support each other, they can overcome almost any challenge.
What advice would you give someone starting out in the field?
Keep an open mind and embrace change. Technology and processes evolve rapidly; staying curious and adaptable is essential. Past achievements don’t guarantee future success, so continue learning and be prepared to pivot.

Changi provides approximately 120 dining choices across its terminals, catering to varied tastes and budgets, from premium restaurants to local favorites. We also accommodate time-pressed travelers: restaurants within the transit area offer quick 15-minute meal options to ensure everyone can dine comfortably, even on tight connections.
What can we expect from Changi in the next few years?
We are optimistic and focused on building for future capacity and enhancing the passenger experience. Several major infrastructure projects are underway to support growth and reinforce Changi’s role as a leading global aviation hub.
A key project is Jewel Changi Airport, an iconic mixed-use complex in front of Terminal 1 that will link Terminals 1–3. Designed as a signature lifestyle destination, it will feature expansive retail and entertainment offerings and a dramatic indoor waterfall, setting a new benchmark for airport destinations.
Terminal 4 is scheduled to become operational in the second half of this year, serving both full-service and low-cost carriers with a full suite of passenger amenities. Looking further ahead, Terminal 5 and a third runway are planned to come online near the end of the decade and in the early 2020s respectively. Together, these developments will bring fresh experiences, greater capacity and world-class leisure and shopping to travelers passing through Changi Airport.
