Inside Air France’s New CDG Lounge: What to Expect and How to Access

Air France has opened a new dedicated business lounge in Hall L of Terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The spacious facility is designed to serve travelers seeking comfort, work facilities and dining options before departure.

Covering 3,200 square meters and able to accommodate up to 540 guests, the lounge introduces several features that are new to Air France lounges. Highlights include a bar area called Le Balcon, an extensive wellness center, a dedicated kids’ area and a dining space known as the Gourmet Table.

Le Balcon, created by designer Mathieu Lehanneur, blends contemporary materials with a relaxed atmosphere. LED screens in the floor project sky imagery that shifts with the time of day, while blue velvet seating and a curated cocktail menu — developed by the head bartender of the Hotel Lancaster in Paris — create a refined social setting.

The Gourmet Table offers an open kitchen concept with both self-service and plated options. Guests can choose from a selection of hot and cold dishes prepared on-site. The wine selection has been curated by Paolo Basso, the 2013 world’s best sommelier, ensuring a thoughtful pairing list to complement meals.

The wellness center spans 550 square meters and is the largest wellness facility Air France has introduced so far. It features a relaxation area, a detox bar, treatments from Clarins, as well as saunas and shower facilities to help travelers refresh before their flight.

Additional zones within the lounge include Le Club, a more private seating area designed for quieter, focused use; a dedicated kids’ area where younger travelers can play and relax; and a quiet zone for passengers who need rest or uninterrupted work time. For business travelers, two co-working tables provide individual power outlets for charging laptops and devices.

With its combination of dining, wellness, family-friendly and work-oriented amenities, the new Air France business lounge at CDG aims to meet a wide range of traveler needs while reflecting contemporary design and service standards.
