InterContinental Hotels Group is expanding its presence in London with a third property opening in a new development beside the O2 arena in Greenwich. Scheduled to welcome guests in 2015, InterContinental London The O2 will offer 452 guestrooms and suites, multiple restaurants and bars, a spa, and flexible meeting and event facilities.
The new hotel is expected to complement IHG’s existing London portfolio, which includes InterContinental London Westminster. “We look forward to InterContinental London The O2 sharing in the future success of its sister hotels, including the recently opened InterContinental London Westminster and InterContinental Marseilles Hotel Dieu,” said Robert Shepherd, chief development officer for IHG Europe.
IHG currently operates more than 4,600 hotels and 678,000 guestrooms across nearly 100 countries and territories, and the company has a development pipeline of over 1,000 hotels.
