Hilton Worldwide recently awarded more than $320,000 to 117 properties and corporate offices to support local communities and enhance guest experiences. The Travel with Purpose Action Grants are given annually and selected to reflect Hilton’s core values and its most important social and environmental priorities. Properties submit proposals, and grants are awarded based on suitability and merit.
The Conrad New York received funding to partner with City Harvest, a food bank supported by hotels and restaurants. Hilton associates at the Conrad will help distribute fresh produce to neighbors in need, while the grant offsets operating costs to make the program more sustainable.
The Hilton Panama used its grant to create a natural herb garden in the hotel’s dining area. The garden provides fresh ingredients for the menu and adds a welcoming, rustic ambiance for guests, aligning guest experience with environmental stewardship.
At the Hilton Garden Inn Davos, the grant supports a mentorship program for local refugees. The initiative offers training and educational opportunities such as interview workshops and associate shadowing. Participants receive transportation, meals during program hours and uniforms at no cost, helping them gain practical skills and greater access to employment.
“Now in our fourth year, Travel with Purpose Action Grants have been awarded to more than 300 properties, providing over $880,000 to support projects around the world,” said Maxime Verstraete, vice president of sustainability, Hilton Worldwide. “These grants demonstrate our team members’ creativity and hospitality in addressing local social and environmental issues, allowing us to expand the program and increase our community investment year over year.”
These grants highlight Hilton’s approach to corporate responsibility—combining practical community support with initiatives that enhance the guest experience. From food distribution partnerships to urban gardens and workforce development programs, the funded projects are selected for their local impact and alignment with Hilton’s sustainability goals.
If you stay at one of these properties, you may encounter the results of these projects firsthand—community food drives, fresh on-site ingredients and training programs that create local opportunities. The Travel with Purpose Action Grants continue to prioritize projects that are community-driven, sustainable and guest-friendly, illustrating how hospitality can play a meaningful role in social and environmental stewardship.
