Grand Opening: The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa Reveals New Luxury Retreat

The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa has reopened its doors after an extensive renovation and rebranding. Nestled at the base of Mount Otemanu, the resort features the largest collection of overwater bungalows in Bora Bora and a wide range of upscale amenities designed for relaxation and adventure.

Of the resort’s overwater accommodations, many of the 128 bungalows include private plunge pools, and every bungalow offers views of the lagoon, the island or Mount Otemanu. The bungalows are carefully positioned to preserve privacy, avoiding direct sightlines between units. Families can choose from 14 beach bungalows configured specifically for family stays.

The property is home to the largest swimming pool in Bora Bora—an infinity pool with a swim-up bar, waterfall feature and six private cabanas. Guests are encouraged to visit the resort’s private lagoon as part of their island experience. Dining options include six distinct outlets offering a variety of cuisines, from authentic French Polynesian flavors and fresh local seafood to light bites and fine dining selections.

Wellness and recreation are central to the resort experience. Guests can make use of a modern fitness center, in-room sleep amenities, signature spa services, a range of watersports and curated land-based excursions. These offerings are designed to help visitors relax, recharge and explore the natural beauty of Bora Bora.

“We are excited to unveil this property as the first resort to open in Bora Bora since 2017, bringing the dream of Bora Bora alive like never before,” said César Marques, general manager of The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa. “The resort blends the island’s serene landscape with premium accommodations, sweeping ocean views and a diverse selection of on- and off-property experiences to create memorable stays for every guest.”

The resort’s on-site Eco Center Bora Bora is dedicated to marine conservation and the protection of sea turtles. Visitors can participate in educational and hands-on programs such as preparing meals for sea turtles and guided tours of the center, supporting local conservation efforts while learning about the region’s marine ecosystems.
