Going to Market: Tips for Selling at Farmers Markets

Krakow invites wandering, whether you’re in the city for business or leisure. Compact and walkable, it offers a rich concentration of historical and cultural attractions, together with an affordable and varied dining scene—countless restaurants, cafés and pubs ring the Rynek Główny market square. In summer the streets take on a lively festival atmosphere, while winter brings a cozy, intimate charm that matches many visitors’ expectations of a European city. Between monuments, museums, shopping and food, the square and its surroundings provide enough to explore on repeat visits.

During my early December visit I spent time at the Christmas Market, which showcases a wide selection of handcrafted goods: pottery, embroidered textiles and delicate, hand-blown glass ornaments in sizes from dainty to impressively large. Stalls brim with thoughtful, unique items that make browsing a pleasure. Pairing those discoveries with a warm cup of mulled wine or spiced cider turns the market into a genuinely festive experience worth lingering over.
