Air France has opened a new lounge this week at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Located in Terminal 1, the lounge is reserved for La Première and Business class passengers, as well as Flying Blue Elite Plus members.
“On our legendary New York–Paris route, our passengers are already enjoying our latest long-haul cabin classes which are gradually equipping our Boeing 777 and our superjumbo, the A380,” said Frédéric Gagey, chairman and CEO of Air France. “The inauguration of this beautiful new lounge completes our offering for premium customers and is part of our strategy to upgrade all our products and services, both on the ground and on board.”
The lounge is bright and airy, with a clean décor that combines white and wood tones accentuated by touches of Air France red. A large mezzanine provides an expansive view of the runways. Two buffets serve hot and cold dishes alongside a selection of Champagne, French wines and other beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
At the center of the space, a subdued relaxation area offers comfortable seating for unwinding before departure. Nearby, loungers provide another option for rest. A Clarins well-being area delivers complimentary beauty treatments, and shower stalls stocked with Clarins products are available to guests who wish to freshen up.
The design and services focus on comfort and a distinctly French hospitality, aiming to provide premium travelers with a calm, refined environment while they wait. With enhanced dining options, relaxation zones and dedicated wellness facilities, the new JFK Terminal 1 lounge complements Air France’s ongoing efforts to improve both its onboard cabins and airport experiences for frequent and high-tier travelers.
