Free Wi-Fi in Frankfurt: Where to Connect and How to Stay Secure

Frankfurt Airport has become the first airport in Germany to provide travelers with free, unlimited WiFi access. Operator Fraport AG extended its complimentary wireless service at Germany’s largest airport from one hour to 24 hours to enhance the passenger experience.

The free WiFi is available through the Deutsche Telekom HotSpot Internet portal and can be accessed from more than 300 access points distributed across terminals, lounges and public areas. Passengers simply connect to the network and log in via the portal to enjoy continuous access during their time at the airport.

“We are the first major airport in Germany and among the first in Europe to offer passengers this level of round-the-clock WiFi service,” said Peter Schmitz, Chief Operating Officer of Fraport AG. The airport’s move reflects a commitment to serving an increasingly mobile and connected public by providing reliable, easy-to-use internet access for business travelers, families and leisure visitors alike.

This upgrade to 24-hour free WiFi is part of a broader set of improvements aimed at making the airport more comfortable and convenient. Recent initiatives include redesigned rest areas, expanded parking options and dedicated facilities for children. Together, these changes are intended to streamline the travel experience and make time spent at the airport more pleasant for all visitors.

By increasing digital services and enhancing on-site amenities, Frankfurt Airport aims to meet modern traveler expectations for connectivity and convenience while supporting the needs of international and domestic passengers using the hub.
