France Opens Its First Hotel Indigo: What Travelers Should Know

InterContinental Hotels Group’s boutique Hotel Indigo brand has made its debut in France with the opening of Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera, situated in the vibrant heart of Paris’s entertainment district. Nestled in the elegant Opéra neighborhood and within walking distance of the city’s renowned theaters, music halls and opera houses, the new property offers 57 stylish guestrooms and suites designed to reflect the character of the area. Opening during the brand’s tenth anniversary year, Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera marks the 60th Hotel Indigo worldwide.

“Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera is located right at the heart of the action. Paris is brimming with history and culture, and this neighborhood provides the perfect base for exploring our enchanting city. We look forward to welcoming guests and helping them to explore both the famous landmarks and hidden gems located on every corner,” said Vincent Poulingue, general manager of Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera.

The arrival of Hotel Indigo in Paris follows several recent openings for the brand earlier this year, including Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via, Hotel Indigo Rome – St. George and Hotel Indigo St. Petersburg Tchaikovskogo. In addition to these locations, the brand has a further 13 hotels in development, reflecting ongoing expansion in key urban and cultural centers worldwide.

Hotel Indigo properties are known for their neighborhood-driven design and locally inspired guest experiences. Each hotel seeks to capture the spirit of its surroundings through architecture, interiors and curated local recommendations, offering guests a sense of place whether they are visiting for business or leisure. With its central location in the Opéra quarter, Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera aims to provide a base for travelers who want easy access to performances, dining and iconic Parisian sights while enjoying contemporary comforts and attentive service.

The launch in Paris reinforces Hotel Indigo’s strategy of growing in major cultural hubs and appealing to travelers who value unique, boutique-style stays. As the brand expands, guests can expect a mix of thoughtfully designed public spaces and rooms, locally sourced touches, and a commitment to delivering an authentic neighborhood experience. Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera brings these elements together in a historic yet lively corner of Paris, offering both visitors and locals a welcoming option for stays and events.
