Have you ever wanted to sleep in a dreamy Scandinavian forest or spend a night at a museum? As part of the new exhibition In Bloom, Fotografiska Stockholm, Sweden’s internationally renowned photography museum, has transformed part of its gallery into a pop-up forest room to celebrate nature and give visitors a calming space to reconnect with the outdoors.

Opening Feb. 17, In Bloom showcases 16 photographers who explore the beauty and power of the natural world. Part of the exhibition brings nature directly to visitors, including a shinrin-yoku–inspired room filled with trees, plants and atmospheric details. International artists such as Cig Harvey and the duo Inka & Niclas feature works shaped by nature’s influence and invite viewers to reflect on our relationship with the environment.
Designed to promote relaxation and the documented health benefits of time spent among trees, the forest installation—called Fotografiska ForRest—offers a peaceful retreat within the museum. For the first time in its history, Fotografiska is allowing overnight guests to stay inside the building: the forest room is available to book for three exclusive nights through Airbnb, and it remains open to daytime visitors through the end of April.

An overnight stay includes admission to the In Bloom exhibition, a five-course dinner prepared with seasonal, sustainably sourced ingredients in the museum’s acclaimed restaurant, and breakfast served in a private dining room with views over Stockholm. The experience is also a charitable one: all proceeds support Naturavet, an organization dedicated to protecting Sweden’s forests.
The forest room accommodates two guests and is offered at approximately $239 per night. That rate covers the overnight stay, dinner, breakfast and admission to In Bloom and other current exhibitions at the museum. In Bloom runs through June 11, offering visitors a rare chance to experience art and nature combined in a unique museum setting.
