FlyDubai Launches New Route: What Travelers Need to Know

FlyDubai, the United Arab Emirates’ major low-cost carrier, will launch scheduled service between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Juba International Airport (JUB) in South Sudan beginning in April. The new route will be operated four times weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, providing a direct link between the two capitals.

Outbound flights from Dubai are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, departing DXB at 10:10 a.m. local time and arriving in Juba at approximately 2:00 p.m. local time. The return service departs Juba at 3:00 p.m. and arrives back in Dubai at 9:15 p.m. local time. This timing is designed to offer convenient connections for both business and leisure travelers while fitting into FlyDubai’s broader regional network.

The addition of Juba expands FlyDubai’s presence in Africa and complements the airline’s existing network of more than 50 destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. With the 737-800 operated on the route, passengers can expect the carrier’s economy and business-class service offerings, competitive fares, and options to connect onward via Dubai to hundreds of international destinations.

Launching this service supports growing travel and trade ties between the UAE and South Sudan, giving passengers more frequency and choice for travel to and from Juba. The schedule provides multiple travel days each week, making it easier for travelers to plan short trips or extended stays while maintaining convenient arrival and departure times.

Passengers planning to travel on the new route should check FlyDubai’s official channels for the latest fare options, baggage policy and any travel requirements. As with all international travel, it’s advisable to verify passport, visa and health requirements well in advance of departure to ensure a smooth journey.
