Qatar Airways began the New Year by inaugurating its first daily flight to the U.S. West Coast. Los Angeles (LAX) is now the Gulf carrier’s eighth destination in the United States and marks the first of three planned U.S. additions this year; the airline has announced further expansion to Boston (BOS) in March and Atlanta (ATL) in June. Flights between Doha (DOH) and Los Angeles are operated with Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
