Rosewood Exuma in the Bahamas has unveiled a world-first amenity for its forthcoming private-island resort: a luxury floating helipad. Developed by Yntegra Group, this innovative feature gives guests the option to arrive in unparalleled style and convenience.

The helipad is built on an FAA-compliant floating dock system made from recycled materials and offers 2,184 square feet of usable surface. Designed for mobility, the platform can be towed and repositioned as required, enabling flexible deployment across different locations around the island. Constructed with handcrafted ProFenders sourced from Australia, the structure is engineered to resist intense UV exposure, severe weather and constant salt spray. Perimeter solar lighting is integrated for safe night approaches and departures. The pad’s load capacity is substantial—able to support aircraft up to roughly 190,000 pounds, including models such as the Sikorsky CH-53E.
Complementing the helipad are other signature offerings that underline Rosewood Exuma’s ultra-luxury positioning. Among them is a floating padel court, designed from recycled steel and operating without engines or batteries, providing a low-impact recreational option over water. The resort will also feature a superyacht-inspired Limousine Tender, enhancing the bespoke arrival and transfer experience for guests arriving by sea.

Scheduled to open in late 2028, the resort will feature 33 bungalows distributed across a 124-acre private island. The development prioritizes conservation, preserving more than half of the island in its natural state. Sustainability measures include native landscaping, incorporation of solar and renewable energy systems, and plans to pursue LEED certification—efforts that reflect a commitment to minimizing environmental impact while delivering a high-end guest experience.
