Back in New York City with a permanent home at 400 West 42nd St., Pip’s Island welcomes children and families to an immersive, theatrical adventure. Created by siblings Rania and Rami Ajami with creative director Walter Krudop, this hour-long experience blends live actors, puppetry and animation across interactive sets to tell a hero’s-journey story. Guests move through scenes led by performers and characters, taking on playful challenges and games that guide them to save the island from a creeping darkness.
Throughout the experience, participants earn “sparks,” collectible achievement tokens inspired by STEAM—science, technology, engineering, art and math—encouraging curiosity and hands-on learning. The journey begins with unlocking a hidden tree portal that reveals the magical island. After receiving a personal “Legendarium,” guests collect sparks as they board Pebble’s Cloud Rover to navigate stormy skies, descend into tunnels to outwit mischievous moles, and visit Grumble Plum’s bakery to help bake a giant cake. The adventure continues beneath the waves with Shelly, the underwater princess, in a lively sing-along and treat. While the program is aimed at ages 4–10, adults are welcome and often join the fun alongside kids.
