As of May 1, Walt Disney World and Disneyland have banned cigarette smoking inside their park boundaries.
Previously, each park offered designated smoking areas within the grounds. Those on-site locations have been closed and replaced by similar smoking areas positioned just outside the park gates near guest entrances.
This no-smoking policy is part of a broader group of regulations introduced this spring to improve the visitor experience at the resorts in Orlando and Anaheim. The ban covers the theme parks, the associated water parks, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim.
In addition to the smoking rules, Disney updated its stroller policy to reduce congestion and improve mobility throughout the parks. Effective immediately, oversized strollers are prohibited. All permitted strollers must measure less than 31 inches in width and 52 inches in length. Stroller wagons remain forbidden inside the parks.
These changes aim to create a more comfortable, accessible environment for all guests by reducing smoke exposure inside park areas and minimizing walkway blockages caused by large strollers. Guests planning a visit are encouraged to review the updated guidelines before arrival to ensure a smooth entry and enjoyable stay.
